By Air

Ryanair run planes from Stansted to Carcassonne daily and a service from East Midlands, Edinburgh, Dublin and Liverpool to Carcassonne as well. Other UK airports are being added. Leeds/Bradford starts in the spring of 2010. Flybe.com run a service from various airports, including Birmingham, to Toulouse. We are about 40 miles from Toulouse airport or 20 miles from Carcassonne airport. Airport collections can be arranged for which a fee is charged, or car hire is available at both airports when booking flights.

By Car

Castelnaudary is right on the A61 – the Autoroute Entre Deux Mers. This Autoroute goes between Bordeaux and Narbonne then south to Barcelona or north to Provence. Our house is 3 km from junction 21. If you are using GPS Navigation systems be careful about the street name. It was changed some years ago and was known as “rue du bassin”. On many GPS systems it is still known as rue du bassin.

By Train

Castelnaudary is on the line between Toulouse and Narbonne that links to TGV. We are 2 minutes from the station.

By Bike

Providence  backs directly onto the canal pathway and can be accessed by bike or by foot from the canal. Ask for detailed directions when making a booking. As we say in the car directions, please beware of the name change to the road.
