The Languedoc is a very beautiful and mainly unspoilt area of France. There is lovely rolling farmland, imposing mountains and beautiful beaches with resorts that vary between the developed family entertainment resort to quiet beach towns with just a beach and a couple of bars. All this is easily reached from Castelnaudary. The Lauragais farmlands are on our doorstep, the Black Mountains (Montagnes Noir) not much further away, the Pyrenees are only 50 kms and the Mediterranean coast at Narbonne is only an hour’s drive.
